Decree No. 136/2020/NĐ-CP and the standard QCVN 06:2022/BXD for fire-resistant duct systems applied in the Fire Prevention and Fighting System have undergone significant changes since their issuance. This has led to challenges for contractors and manufacturers in finding suitable materials to cover the metal sheeting, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with the current standards.
Understanding this demand, KHS.HF.M Insulation Board was introduced to address the issues of Fire Prevention and Fighting and provide comprehensive protection for duct systems. With a density ranging from 430 to 540 kg/m3 and thicknesses from 14mm to 32mm, suitable for duct systems and fire dampers EI30-EI45-EI60-EI90-EI120, this is the long-term, cost-effective, and high-quality solution for fire prevention and insulation of ducts.

Estimated on the market, there are various types of fire-resistant materials with low cost but high density ranging from 1000 to 1400 kg/m3, leading to rapid heat transmission and requiring more reinforcement to ensure hanging loads at construction sites.
When asked, project owners, general contractors, and manufacturers all express that the criteria for selecting ducts for construction projects should include lightweight materials that are both fire-resistant and insulating, compensating for the weakness in heat transmission. These materials should not deform when exposed to humidity, possess high durability due to the characteristic tropical weather and monsoon winds of Vietnam. Additionally, as most of the ducts are situated in damp basements, particularly in the Northern and Central regions of the country, it further underscores the importance of these properties.
