EI fireproof duct solutions meet standards according to the latest regulations
Circular QCVN 06:2021/BXD was issued requiring construction structures and components to meet minimum fire prevention capabilities through standards such as EI and REI. Since then, concepts of fire prevention and insulation solutions meeting EI standards have gradually been used more, including EI fire-resistant air ducts (EI fire-resistant air ducts).
EI fire-resistant duct application systems (EI fire-resistant ducts)
EI fire-resistant air ducts are products that have undergone combustion tests at the authorities and meet the minimum fire resistance time standards specified in Circular QCVN 06:2021/BXD.
EI fire-resistant duct solutions are widely used in ventilation systems such as:
- Smoke extraction system when the building has problems: When there is a fire, the smoke extraction system will absorb smoke and reduce the possibility of the fire spreading.
- Ventilation system in basements: Used in fire protection systems for high-rise buildings, basements of buildings, parking lots or floors without ventilation windows.
- Cooking smoke extraction system in the kitchen: Smoke extraction systems are often used in apartments with the ability to absorb smoke and odors from the kitchen, helping other parts of the apartment not be affected when cooking.
- Natural ventilation and air conditioning system: Ventilation and air conditioning system helps purify the air, providing fresh air with appropriate temperature for human health.
Regulations on EI fire-resistant air ducts according to QCVN 06:2021/BXD standards
According to QCVN 06:2021/BXD standards, using EI fire-resistant ducts in ventilation and air conditioning systems is regulated as follows:
- EI30 fire-resistant air duct: Applicable to smoke exhaust ducts across the hallway and pressure rise ducts across the door.
- EI45 fire-resistant duct: Applicable to vertical chimneys or smoke ducts and equipment placed in a vertical direction.
- EI60 fire-resistant air duct: Applicable to smoke exhaust ducts and horizontal booster ducts passing through basements, garages and vertical booster shafts on the ground.
- EI90 fire-resistant air duct: Applicable to all types of fire valves.
- EI120 fire-resistant air duct: Applicable to horizontal smoke exhaust ducts leading outside the fire compartment and vertical turbocharger ducts passing through basements, garages and carports.
- EI180 fire-resistant duct: Applicable to vertical chimneys passing through basements, garages and carports.
EI fire-resistant duct solutions meet quality standards
EI fireproof duct solution (EI fireproof duct) applies fireproof panels and KH Shield insulation panels to provide outstanding fire prevention and insulation capabilities. Is the perfect choice to protect human safety and life from the risks of explosion and fire, contributing to the success of fire prevention and insulation solutions that meet EI standards issued under QCVN standard 06:2021/BXD.
Air duct fireproof covers using KH Shield fireproof panels and insulation panels are produced in many different types and meet EI standards for fire protection, including:
- EI30 fire-resistant air duct: Use KHS.HF.M14 insulation board with 14mm thickness
- EI45 fire-resistant air duct: Use KHS.HF.M16 insulation board with 16mm thickness.
- EI60 fire-resistant air duct: Use KHS.HF.M20 insulation board with a thickness of 20mm.
- EI90 fire-resistant air duct: Use KHS.HF.M24 insulation board with a thickness of 24mm.
- EI120 fire-resistant air duct: Use KHS.HF.M26 insulation board with a thickness of 26mm.
KH Shield fireproof panels and insulation panels use exclusive FireShieldPRO® technology to ensure they are non-flammable, do not form black smoke when burned, do not rust and are non-destructive. In addition, this is also an environmentally friendly technology that does not create toxic substances and can be infinitely recyclable. The EI fire-resistant duct solution (EI fire-resistant duct) using KH Shield panels is an outstanding choice to meet the standards and regulations issued according to Circular QCVN 06:2021/BXD.
